Mylar (PX05/PX10/PX20) Sail
The Mylar option provides a stiffer sail surface, therefore increasing
glide performance. The leading edge is PX20 Mylar, with the
main sail constructed from PX05 and PX10 Mylar. |
 |
Smoke Inlaid Mylar Sail
The smoke inlaid Mylar sail uses a semi-transparent dark cloth
in the centre of the sail's top surface. The dark cloth is
surrounded by the white Mylar cloth. In addition to the
aesthetic advantage, the smoke inlaid sail reduces the overall
weight of the sail by about one kilogram. |

Carbon
Fibre Outer Leading Edge
The carbon fibre outer leading edge is lighter than the standard
aluminium outer leading edge and therefore decreases wing tip inertia,
thus improving the manoeuvrability of the glider. The carbon fibre outer leading edges save approximately 730 grams off the weight of the glider. This is quite significant as
the weight is towards the tip of the sail, thereby having a more significant reduction in wing tip inertia. |
 |
Carbon Fibre Inner Leading Edge
The inner carbon fibre leading edge further reduces the overall weight of the
glider. The carbon fibre inner leading edges save approximately 900 grams off the weight of the glider. |
 |
Carbon
Fibre Leading Edge Inserts
These very thin, light yet strong inserts are positioned in a sown
pocket within the leading edge. They run nearly the full length
of the leading edge and assist with wind deflection on the leading
edge, providing a clean, smooth leading surface. |
 |
Carbon Fibre Dive Struts
These high quality carbon dive struts replace the standard aluminium
components for an additional weight saving. The carbon fibre outer leading edges save approximately 340 grams off the weight of the glider. This is quite significant as the weight
is towards the tip of the sail, thereby having a more significant reduction in wing tip inertia. |

Carbon
Batten Set
This option includes the four top surface battens that are
supported by the dive sticks and the two inner under surface
battens. The carbon battens are significantly stiffer than
the aluminium, allowing for improved tuning of the glider. |
